Bill Kotapish served as a security careerist with the Central Intelligence Agency for 37 1/2 years. He performed in overseas and domestic assignments in all of the Agency's directorates and was C1A’s Director of Security from January 1980 to September 1985. He was presented the Agency's top award, the Distinguished Intelligence Medal (D. LM ), for his achievements.

Currently a consultant to government industry on security, management, and communications, Bill received his B A and M A. degrees from the University of Michigan. He has also pursued Doctoral‑level studies at the George Washington University, where he has taught psychology courses.
